Living in Louisiana

Louisiana has so much to offer working nurses during their leisure time. Contemporary museums and galleries are in close proximity to old museums and antique shops in the French Quarter in New Orleans. Things to see include Confederate Memorial Hall Museum, Stevens African American Museum, Louisiana Museum, Baton Rouge River Museum and the Old Courthouse Museum. There are too many plantation homes and historic sites to name them. The Mississippi River is a very unique entity unto itself. Jackson Square, Café’ Du Monde, beignets, Cajun music, jazz music and crawfish festivals are unique things to see and be a part of in Louisiana. Restaurants of high quality abound in Louisiana, particularly New Orleans. Eating is the biggest indoor activity of all and is by far the most favorite thing to do.

One of Louisiana’s main sources of income comes from the seafood industry. Shrimping, crawfishing, bayou fishing, hunting, air boating, kayaking, and offshore fishing are the core of outdoor life in the state.
